“Because we live in this bubble that we call critical thinking, but it’s the same critical thinking, is there enough diversity in our opinions?” —dpr-barcelona

Conversation between dpr-barcelona and Sofia Pia Belenky, Hunter O’brien Doyle and Tobias Hentzer Dausgaard for DUE, a weekly publication by the Architectural Association School of Architecture. This issue is the outcome of DUE BAR which presents a set of conversations held during the opening days of the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, A School of Schools, in November 2018.

A friendly and informal talk between comrades about books, publishing as a social act—as a thing that brings people together—, and about other ways of working, based on care and friendship, and not on a capitalistic approach. They are all related. The book as a pedagogical tool, and the act of publishing as a form of activism, to generate some critical thinking.
